Question: I would like to represent the membership on the LNSRC Board because...
Answer: I would like to represent the membership on the LNSRC Board because it has been my pleasure to serve these last two years. The board has accomplished many things during this term; successful amendment and revision of the Bylaws, renovation and improvements to the clubhouse bathrooms and kitchen/snack bar. There are still things that need to be done; renovation of courts 6, 7, 8 and proper shade on the pool deck. I would like to participate with the board in seeing this work to its end.

Answer: I think LNSRC is important to the community because year after year it serves as a place that all generations can come together to enjoy our great neighborhood. Watching the increase in membership over the past 2 years assure me that it is a place our community values and it is a place that with the right care will continue to flourish.

Question: I would like to represent the membership on the LNSRC Board because...
Answer: Over the years, the club has meant so much to my family. From the first month we moved to Little Neck in 2001, it became the focal point of our summer entertainment. We've participated in the club activities on many levels: social events, fitness classes, tennis, swim team, youth nights. I want to give back to the organization by serving on the board. I want to ensure that the club remains a vital force in this community and that it continues to offer the same kind of opportunities to families in the future.

Question: Things that I have done in my personal or professional background that make me a strong candidate include...
Answer: I am primarily a stay-at-home mom to two very busy daughters, but I am also a writer and an editor. I've written four books and have been the Guide to Twins & Multiples at About.com (a New York Times company) since 2001. In addition, I have served in a volunteer capacity throughout the community. I chaired the Welcome Tea at Kingston Elementary School and was a regular volunteer at the school. I was the editor of the Blues News newsletter for the Lynnhaven Middle School PTA and am now the chair of the newsletter committee at First Colonial High School. I was on the board of the Middle Plantation Women's Club for many years and continue to coordinate the neighborhood book club. I am also an active member of Lynnhaven United Methodist Church where I have been involved in numerous ways. I have experience working with a group of people as well as the organizational and writing skills to serve as secretary.

Question: I think LNSRC is important to the community because...
Answer: The Swim & Racquet club facility has so much to offer the community. It functions as a social hub, a place for fitness and exercise, a gathering place for parties and special events, a venue for competitive sports and more. It keeps our children engaged in activities and gives adults a social and fitness connection to their neighbors. It is a place where memories are made and friendships are formed. From the toddlers who share their toys in the splash pool to the high school seniors who celebrate graduation with a party in the clubhouse, Little Neck families mark many milestones at the Swim Club.

Question: I would like to represent the membership on the LNSRC Board because...
Answer: I have thought about joining the committee for several years.  I believe it's the best way for me and my family to give back to a community that does so much for so many people.

Question: Things that I have done in my personal or professional background that make me a strong candidate include...

Answer: I have been in the automobile business for over 20 years, most of it as a general manager, which I believe gives me a strong understanding of how to manage any size company and how vitally important customer service is.  In business, as you all well know, if the customers (members) don't feel that the business is acting in their best interest, then they won't be customers for long.  Along with managing customer service, I am very involved with expense structure, cost analysis, and project management, all of which plays an important roll in running the LNSRC.

Question: I think LNSRC is important to the community because...
Answer: It's not only a place for children to gather, but for a whole community to get together in a wonderful facility to enjoy a multitude of activities.  Our family enjoys the friendships and fellowships we have made since joining LNSRC.  As a board member, I will endeavor to support LNSRC's commitment to our Little Neck community.
